Fine art etching and hand pulled print limited edition, original artwork for sale. “Acer, Japanese maple leaves” is printed in both forest green or burnt umber ink onto Somerset Satin paper. This is a high quality handmade paper made from 100% cotton.
The piece is inspired by one of my favourite trees, the Acer also known as a Japanese maple. I love their warm colours and sculptural shapes.
The design was hand etched on a metal plate with smoked hard and soft ground and then acid dipped each time to produce its many layers using a technique known as Aquatint. The completed plate is inked and pressed into thick cotton paper to create a lovely impressed / embossed feel.
All are handmade and hand printed using traditional techniques. The plate is one of a kind.
Your purchase comes with a stiff card back and tucked into a protective sleeve.
Pictures are hand signed, unframed and include a white border around the printed area.
Paper size is 26 x 18.5cm (10.2 x 7.3 inches).
As they are handcrafted there are slight variations to each one.

Orders within the UK will take around 2-3 working days depending on the area.
The standard delivery time within Europe is approximately 3-5 working days.
International shipping outside UK and Europe will take 5-7 working days although international orders can take up to 14 days so please allow for this when ordering.
All prints come in a cellophane sleeve and all parcels will be securely packed for a safe delivery. Please note some countries may have extra costs by customs taxes which are the responsibility of the buyer.In the unlikely event that your purchase is not as expected please email me within one week of your purchase. Please then return any items in good condition within 30 days for a refund. The buyer is responsible for the shipping cost of the returned item.
