“Hong Kong”, linocut original artwork printed on Somerset cotton and hosho handmade papers. This coastal print is inspired by the strength of nature when compared to an urban city and its man-made architecture. The design is also influenced by early Chinese printmaking. The final print is available in three colours, black and white, blue and black (hosho paper) or dark blue (Somerset satin paper) Each is hand carved and pressed using traditional printmaking techniques. It is a unique artwork and not a digital reproduction. It has been printed from a one off, hand carved block produced by myself. They are packed with a stiff card back and inside a protective sleeve. Somerset paper is 28.5 x 19.5 cm (11.2 x 7.7 inches). Hosho paper is 25 x 18.5 cm (9.8 x 7.3 inches). Each are printed with a white border onto handmade paper and are unframed. All pieces are hand signed and part of an open edition. Please note due to their handcrafted nature there are slight variations to each. Artwork copyright © Laura Young
